The South Sudan Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday received a delegation from The Cereals and Other Produce Board of Tanzania (CPB) which is seeking export business opportunities.
Speaking to the media upon the arrival of the Tanzanian delegation in Juba, the deputy chairperson of the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Salwa Monytuil, said that the doors of South Sudan are open to the region.
“This is an opportunity for both us and Tanzania to open our doors to each other and the world so that we can move forward. If we agree to work together and share ideas, then we will move forward,” Monytuil said.
For his part, the Tanzanian director of commercial services, Valerian Mablangeti, said that the two governments have been in discussions for a long time and that as members of the East African Community they have to work together.
“It was our pride to see that the meeting takes place and as the Embassy it is a noble gift and pride for us to make sure this happens. The Tanzanian government, being an East African member, we have many things to trade among ourselves,” Malangeti said. “We don’t need to go far to other countries so long as there is a will, definitely there will be a way to make sure South Sudan and Tanzania will do very great business among the traders.”
