A team of South Sudanese runners will participate in the African Athletics Championships, the South Sudan Athletics Federation announced on Thursday.
The championships will take place from June 22nd to June 28th in Durban, South Africa. The Japan International Cooperation Agency has provided support for South Sudan in order to participate in the African Athletics Championships and the Olympic Games in Brazil.
Japan will continue to support South Sudan in various activities, Tomomi Uchikawa, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency said at the announcement.
