South Sudanese national teams that had been announced to take part in the All-African games last week are still in Juba due to lack of dollars.

Sports officials at the Olympic committee on Tuesday confirmed to Radio Tamazuj that the teams are still in Juba and are not sure when they will go to participate in the games.

“Yes we are still here in Juba. The ministry has already approved the money but what remains is the exchange to dollars, then we will go but I cannot tell you when we will get dollars to facilitate our movement,” said one of the sports officials.

Earlier the government announced that the country’s Taekwondo federation and athletics federation would participate in the games currently being held in Congo Brazaville.
