South Sudan students in Kenya have elected a new leadership, ending months of campaigns in different counties and other areas with population of school going age children in the country.

South Sudan students in Kenya have elected a new leadership, ending months of campaigns in different counties and other areas with population of school going age children in the country.

The new body replaced the outgoing team under the leadership in which Yaak Bol served as Deputy Secretary General. Yaak and his boss have now been replaced with Aliandro Lotok, a presenter at South Sudan broadcasting corporation as the new president with Garang Majok as his deputy.

Tito Awen Bol was selected the secretary general while Majok Anhiem as the secretary for finance and Ayen Mayor as the secretary for students’ affairs. Zachariah Wiye was selected as the secretary for constitutional affairs while Achol Tong as the secretary for sports, culture and entertainment. Stephen Darunga was named the secretary for information and Garang Arok as the secretary for organization.

The new secretary general described the outcome selecting the new leadership as more than joy to see the great trust vested upon his team by his peers whom called “brethren”.

“My dear voters and supporters, your decision reigned yesterday and you disapproved those who think that young people and students are not ready for change. You proved that you are good voters!, said Awen in a statement acknowledging election result on Sunday. The student leader thanks God and protector and asked for guidance to serve the students with honesty and luck
