President Salva Kiir left from Juba this morning on a visit to Turkey, according to his press secretary and the foreign minister.

The president was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin and other government officials. Speaking before departure at Juba airport, the foreign minister said that Kiir will use the visit to engage with Turkey's leader and other foreign leaders on the progress of the peace process.
