South Sudan’s Kiir to visit Cairo this month

South Sudan President Salva Kiir is scheduled to travel to Egypt tomorrow to meet his counterpart Adel-Fatah El Sisi, according to South Sudan’s Egyptian Ambassador Anthony Kon.

South Sudan President Salva Kiir is scheduled to travel to Egypt tomorrow to meet his counterpart Adel-Fatah El Sisi, according to South Sudan’s Egyptian Ambassador Anthony Kon.

The two presidents plan to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest to both countries.

Speaking to Asarq al-Awsat News Agency, Ambassador Kon said the visit comes at the invitation of El Sisi during a sideline meeting during the African Union summit in June.

Kon described relations between the two countries as “distinctive”. The diplomat said arrangements are in place for the visit, which is scheduled to lat through November 21.
