The Archbishops of the Catholic and Episcopal churches and the leader of the Presbyterian church in South Sudan have traveled to Rome, Italy on the invitation by the Pope in order to share with him about the ongoing crisis in the country. 

Speaking on Tuesday upon their way from Italy at Juba International Airport, The Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Juba Paulino Lukudu Loro said that their visit was centered on how to bring the ongoing fighting to an end.

“We were invited by the Holy Father the Pope, I think he’s going to listen to us and we are going to listen to him. The aim is the search for our peace,” Bishop Lukudu said.

“This is to show that THE entire world is concerned about our Peace in this country and even the church. That is why the Pope has invited the religious leaders in this country to go and share with him about what is going on in this country,” he further added.

Lukudu hope that voice of the Pope will not only be on South Sudan but will be for the whole world to be aware on how to help South Sudan out this crisis. The current archbishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Daniel Deng Bul, and his Presbyterian counterpart were also part of the delegation to Rome.
