South Sudan rebels say they repulsed an attack on Wadakona

The SPLA-In Opposition claimed that they repulsed a government attack on their positions in Wadakona of Manyo County, Upper Nile state.

Spokesperson Dickson Gatluak said SPLA-IO has been in control of Wadakona since it was earlier abandoned by government forces.

The government had previously captured Wadakona from the rebels in early March, but the Manyo County commissioner told Radio Tamazuj last week that the government no longer had any presence in the county.

Gatluak also alleged deployment of  troops in Bor, Jonglei state and Rumbek North county in Lakes state.
