An opposition group calling itself South Sudan Patriotic Army/Movement (SSPA/SSPM) has welcomed the revitalization process led by IGAD countries to restore peace in the country.
Costello Garang Ring Lual, leader of the rebel group, said in an interview with Radio Tamazuj that he met with an IGAD delegation in Khartoum where they discussed issues pertaining to revitalization of the 2015 peace accord.
Costello said he had agreed with the East African region bloc IGAD during their consultative meeting in Khartoum on the need to revitalize the signed peace agreement.
The rebel leader emphasized on the need to make peace in South Sudan and to denounce tribalism among different tribes. Costello noted that he had advised the IGAD leaders to include all stakeholders in the revitalization process.
