South Sudan wants to nearly triple its budget in the 2016-2017 fiscal year, according to a report from the Reuters news agency.

According to the report, the government caps spending at 29.6 billion SSP for the next year, which would amount to a 187 percent rise from last years budget.

South Sudan is one of the most oil dependent countries in the world, and since the fall in the price of oil, the country has struggled to pay its bills.

In the past year, the country has suffered an inflation rate of 660 percent. 70 SSP are currently worth around one dollar on the black market.
