South Sudan pastor asks leaders to speak truth, reconcile and turn to God

A renowned young South Sudanese Gospel Singer also a pastor has called on South Sudanese leaders and its citizens to speak the truth reconcile and repent from their sins if they want to see South Sudan become a progressive nation in the world.

Pastor Khamis Kennedy, who signs Gospel song entitled “Mata Nesitu Rabuna” , loosely translate to mean to don’t forget God, and sung in simple Juba Arabic, urges the leaders and the citizens to not forget God but remember him at all times for his divine power to heal the nation from the ongoing political and economic crisis.

In the song, Khamis says Governing a peaceful country demands three wings. These includes spiritual wing, political and military wing.
“In this case today, we have the executive wing, the judiciary wing and the legislative wings which are to be observed and used effectively if we need to see a powerful growing Nation, said Khamis Kennedy.

The pastor added that citizens and leaders should not forget that God at this critical times. He said during the liberation struggle, all South Sudanese worked in unity through prayers which resulted into the successful 2005 peace agreement and 2011 referendum.

“Today, people have turned away from God and it is a reminder in my song that we have gone astray from God’s commandments of being honest, telling the truth and forgiveness. In my song, I reminded people of being dragged into sin, fornication, adultery and consumption of harmful drugs which are against God’s will in leading a young country like South Sudan”. He said.

Khamis called on all South Sudanese to recall God’s blessings during their struggle for the liberation struggle.
“Why do we need to remember God during but bad times? Why are we off from God during good times? We have to come back to God and repent of our sins so that we see a lasting peace in our country.

Khamis also asked the parliamentarians not to forget God. Urging that that, they should seek for God’s wisdom while proposing and putting laws into action.
“The parliament is the heart of the Nation and if the parliamentarians don’t cook food that is liked by all the people, then the people of country will eat food that will cause them problems” he added.
Meanwhile to the executive leaders Khamis says, God was able to bless leaders like David and Moses because they asked for God’s divine wisdom in their leadership.

“Led the political leaders focus as much as possible in leading the country in truth so that they will not take the country back into darkness.
Khamis appealed to all South Sudanese in the country and outside the county to inculcate the spirit of peace, reconciliation and forgiveness to bring South Sudan back on the right track.
