Members of parliament in South Sudan have summoned the three heads of security institutions in the country to appear before the house to answer questions over the serious security situation in the country. Anthony Lino Makana speaker of the interim parliament said Tuesday the house has unanimously, both the ruling and opposition parties, been alarmed by the recent security situation in the country along the major high ways and expressed concern and condemnation over these attacks “The members of the transitional National legislative assembly have unanimously decided to summon the ministers responsible for security in the country. The minister of defense, interior and the national security have been asked to appear before the house. The reason being that people want to know what is going on in the country”, explained Makana when reached on Tuesday. Makana said “there is no place for such attacks in the name of whatever cause". "My prayers are with those who lost their lives, those who have been injured. We stand with their families and urge our security organs and particularly our gallant SPLAs forces to ensure safety of the civilians wherever they are in this country. Targeting innocent people, civilians especially women is not the culture of our people, whether this is in Equatoria or elsewhere and it has to stop”. He continued: “The transitional national legislative assembly condemns this barbaric act in the strongest terms possible”
