Twic East County Commissioner Dau Akoi Jurkuch says the Jonglei state government opened a newly built office for his administration over the weekend.

The new office cost 700,000 South Sudanese Pounds provided by Jonglei's ministry of state and local government meant for county develoment projects.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jonglei Governor John Kong Nyuon as well as local citizens and State and national members of parliament from the county.

Separately, Dau said someone was wounded yesterday between Poktap and Panyagoor on a bodaboda when gunmen opened fire on him. The injured man has been taken to Juba for treatment. Dau said there also is fear of cattle raiding.
