South Sudan’s National Olympic Committee (SSNOC) on Wednesday sworn in its new president in the presence of executive members of the committee.
Speaking during the event in Juba, Juma Stephen, the newly appointed president of the SSNOC, vowed to fight against early girl child marriage in South Sudan through sports.
He pointed out that the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach has promised to build the largest Olympic stadium in country. The new leader revealed that the Governor of Terkeka State has also allocated one million square meters of land for the committee.
