The South Sudan Artists’ Association in Ethiopia (SSAAE) has commended South Sudan's warring parties for the recently signed peace agreement nad security arrangements, saying they will hold a musical concert soon in Gambella in western Ethiopia to celebrate the peace deal.
In a press statement, Khor Deng Jang (“Khor DJ”), the chairman of the association, congratulated the two warring parties for “showing signs of commitment toward the full implementation of the peace deal.” He urged the two sides to fully implement the deal.
Lul Tuach Dojiok (“LTD”), the deputy chairman of the association, urged South Sudan's government to warmly receive the SPLA-IO advance team in Juba and co-operate with them while implementing the peace deal’s provisions.
“I appeal to SPLA-government to warmly receive their fellows comrades (SPLA-IO advance team) in Juba and to co-operate with them in their quest for peace and harmony in the young nation. I urge them to materialized the provisions of the agreement in good faith and in the spirit of brotherhood to restore peace into our beloved nation once again,” said Lul.
Gatwech Hoth, a member of SSAAE and the team leader of the concert organizing committee, said that SSAAE will hold a peace concert on 20 November 2015 at Gerji Hall on Friday at 1:00 PM.
“South Sudan Artists Association in Ethiopia (SSAAE) will be holding a peace’s concert in Gerji at 1:00 PM. All peace loving South Sudanese and media houses are invited to attend and cover the show.”
