South Sudan's chess team lost a chess match against Egypt by four points to nil at the ninth round on Sunday in the Chess Olympiad place in the Azerbaijani capital Baku on Monday.

South Sudan will face Saudi Arabia in the tenth round.

Meanwhile, Sudan beat Ethiopia by three points to one point in the ninth round on Sunday. Sudan will face Palestine in the tenth round.

The Sudan women's team lost to Monaco by four points to nil on Sunday, and on Monday they will face Ethiopia in the tenth round.
