A high court in South Sudan’s capital Juba on Tuesday cancelled all court sessions due to a power blackout because its generators ran out of fuel.

A high court hearing on 16 people accused of corruption in the office of the president has been canceled too. High Court judge Lado Armeno told prosecution and defense lawyers that the court will adjourn due to lack of power and restart proceedings on 17 March.

Other cases will resume as soon as more fuel is found, court officials said.
