South Sudan’s transitional cabinet has announced establishment of the command of the Joint Integrated Police and the Joint Operation Centre, saying the security situation generally is improving across the country.
Speaking after yesterday’s cabinet meeting, Michael Makuei Lueth, government spokesperson, told the press that his government listened to a security report presented by ministers of interior, defense and national security.
“In the security report, it is reported that the joint integrated police, the command and the leadership of the joint integrated police it is already established, and the joint operation command is established,” said Makuei.
Makuai further said police personnel are currently undergoing trainings and that they will take full charge of the security situation in Juba after graduation.
