South Sudan government deploys troops after citizens killed along Juba-Bor road

South Sudan’s government has deployed a security force along the Juba-Bor road after more than 20 people had been killed in road ambushes over the past two weeks, a local official said.

Illario Paul, Mangala County Commissioner, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that several citizens were wounded in an attack on a bus ambush by unknown gunmen along the Juba-Magri road recently.

The local official pointed out that frequent attacks on civilians, prompted the government to deploy troops in order to stop killings of civilians.
