South Sudan beats Oman in chess tournament

The South Sudanese team has defeated Oman on Sunday in the 42nd Chess Olympiad in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The team lots its first match against Faroe Islands by one point to three points on Friday, and in the second match against South Korea they lost by one point to three points on Saturday, but in the third game South Sudan was able to win over Oman by three points and a half to a half-point on Sunday.

The team lost again Monday to Pakistan but goes on today to face El Salvador.
