South Sudan’s ambassador to Khartoum Mayen Dut Wol has been recalled in an ongoing reshuffle within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to a document seen by Radio Tamazuj.
The diplomat, who was assigned represent South Sudan in Khartoum, has served his term and his four year’s tour of duty aboard has expired.
“I am writing to officially communicate to you that following consolations with H.E General Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan… it has been agreed that you are to return to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Juba to wait for a new assignment,” foreign minister Deng Alor wrote.
According to the letter dated December 5, Minister Deng Alor is currently carrying out consultations with President Kiir to prepare a list of diplomats to be given new assignments.
