South Kordofan teachers threaten strike

Primary and secondary school teachers in Babanusa of South Kordofan threatened on Tuesday to stop working if their wages are not paid by the state Ministry of Education. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, a number of teachers disclosed that 43 primary and secondary teachers have not received their salaries for three months. They added that the state government have promised many times to pay their salaries but did not fulfill its promise. Teachers motioned that they will go on strike and not supervise the examinations should their problems remain unaddressed, and called for the ministry of education in Khartoum to intervene.
