South Kordofan governor names new cabinet

The newly appointed governor of Sudan’s South Kordofan State on Sunday has appointed a new cabinet.

The newly appointed governor of Sudan’s South Kordofan State on Sunday has appointed a new cabinet.

The governor, Major General Issa Adam Abakar, appointed eight ministers including three positions for political parties which participated in the April elections.

He also issued another decree appointing 17 locality commissioners including new faces.

Meanwhile, for national representation two South Kordofan leaders were reportedly appointed in Central Darfur and Northern States.

Part of South Kordofan is controlled by the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North, especially in the Nuba Mountains.
