South Kordofan court refers case of militia members to Khartoum

A Sudanese court in South Kordofan State on Thursday adjourned the trial of 15 members of the paramilitary Popular Defense Forces (PDF) accused of killing eight civilians and burning the village of Sanadra in Abbasiya Tegeli locality in September last year.

A Sudanese court in South Kordofan State on Thursday adjourned the trial of 15 members of the paramilitary Popular Defense Forces (PDF) accused of killing eight civilians and burning the village of Sanadra in Abbasiya Tegeli locality in September last year.

The presiding judge Abdeen Dhahi said the accused failed to follow the court procedure because they appeared in court with military uniforms.

Abdeen decided to refer the local case to a court in the capital Khartoum.
