South Kordofan’s civil administration says it will sue the State Governor Adam Al Faki for removing the mek of the Nuba in Abassiya’s Tagali, Ahmed Mansour Leiliya.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, prominent figures serving in the civil administration stated that the decision taken by the governor was against the law.

“By taking this decision the governor has apparently interfered in internal affairs of the local government, the civil administration,” he explained.

The chiefs charge the governor with violating the Local Government Act passed by the state legislative assembly and the transitional constitution, according to the Nuba leaders.
