Youths of Sudan’s South Kordofan and Blue Nile States have launched a peace initiative aimed at the Sudanese government and SPLM-North rebel group. The youths called on the two warring parties to stop the war and make peace, development and stability.
Youth leader Sabir Elias said they came up with the peace initiative in the two regions, saying they presented their views to the two parties to the conflict and the African Union mediation on issues pertaining to the ongoing war based on views of negotiators from the two sides at peace talks.
During the launch of the peace initiative, youth representatives stressed the importance of reaching a sustainable peace in the two regions through dialogue in Addis Ababa.
