The Government of South Darfur State in Sudan on Tuesday held the first meeting of the council of ministers which approved a quarterly plan from January to March to address the problems of public services in the state.
The secretary of the South Darfur State government, Salah al-Din al-Mouj, told Radio Tamazuj Wednesday that the meeting discussed service issues, electricity, water, and providing humanitarian support to the displaced in the state.
“The council discussed the security axis and how to develop a plan to secure the city of Nyala and the state’s localities,” he said.
Al-Mouj revealed that the meeting authorized sending a delegate to the city of El Fasher in North Darfur State next Sunday to deal with the retrieval of relief and food materials that belong to South Darfur.
This is the first meeting of senior state officials since the RSF routed the army’s 16th Infantry Division in late October last year.
