A 50-year old woman was shot dead by soldiers in Farshaya area in the north of Dilling town in Sudan’s South Kordofan State on Tuesday afternoon, a relative of the victim said.

The relative told Radio Tamazuj that the woman was killed by military forces when she was on her farm harvesting crops.

The same source said government forces were stationed near the victim's farm, adding there were no clashes or military operations in the area when the incident took place.
