A man shot his wife dead in Wau, West Bahr El Gazal on the evening of 4 December. The police have arrested him.

A man shot his wife dead in Wau, West Bahr El Gazal on the evening of 4 December. The police have arrested him.

The deputy-mayor of the Wau municipality told Radio Tamazuj that the perpetrator, Matar Karbino, was a soldier. On the same day of the incident, Karbino took a gun from his colleague who was on the duty in a police station. He drove home on a motorbike where he killed his wife Bakhita Awad Joseph with four bullets of the Kalashnikov gun.

The perpetrator had learnt that his wife was in a love affair with a Darfuri man, according to a source. The deputy-mayor noted that this man was also arrested by police as they are investigating the case.

Criminals kill man in West Kordofan

Meanwhile, a man was shot by unidentified criminals in his house near Muglad in Sudan’s Babanussa, West Kordofan, in the morning of 3 December. The victim, Sadiq Seriri El Bakhit El Nabiga, was taken to the hospital but passed away due to serious injuries he sustained.
