Fighting between the Ruop and Kuei communities has resulted in six deaths, the United Nations radio in South Sudan reported today.

Radio Miraya reported the fighting was sparked off after a staff member of the State Ministry of Information identified as Mayom Kuc, was killed in his house, prompting a revenge attack.

The incident happened in Rumbek Central. The State Minister of Law Enforcement Jok Ayoum Majak says reinforcements of organized forces have been deployed to the area.
