At least six civilians were reported killed by bombs dropped Saturday and Sunday by the Sudanese air force on Dalami locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan state.
An eyewitness told Radio Tamazuj that the incident took place in Tablo village.
He said the bombing resulted in the killing of three family members on Saturday and another three on Sunday including an elderly person and a woman.
The incident caused fear among local residents, forcing a large number of civilians to flee to the mountains and Karakir, whereas some citizens crossed to Yida refugee camp in South Sudan.
The Governor of South Kordofan state Adam Al Fekki said in an interview with Radio Tamazuj yesterday that fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and SPLA-North rebels is still ongoing in the state.
He also claimed that there were no local residents at Angarto and Geneziya areas where clashes erupted last week.
El Fekki further said a considerable number of local citizens fled from clashes to Kadugli town, while others crossed to the rebel-controlled areas.
