Academic activities at two government primary schools in Al Geissan locality in Sudan’s Blue Nile state are being seriously hampered due to shortage of teachers.
Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that Al-Mukhtar and Aisha primary schools are continuing academic activities with a small number of teachers, besides the shortage of textbooks.
The same sources pointed out that the locals accused the state ministry of education of refusing to recruit teachers from the area to address the shortage of teachers. They noted that the current situation in government schools will negatively affect the primary school leavers next year.
