Patients and relatives at the Wau Teaching Hospital in South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state reported severe shortages of and high costs of medicine in the facility.
Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj from the hospital that patients are in bad condition because of increasing prices of medicine.
They said that some patients stay for a long period of time in the facility without any proper treatment due to drugs shortages and high prices.
The complaining families called upon the hospital’s administration to provide medicine as soon as possible so that local citizens can afford to buy at reasonable prices.
