Citizens of Ed Dabab in West Kordofan are worried about the deteriorating health situation and shortage of qualified doctors in the area.
Different local sources told Radio Tamazuj the hospital is facing an acute shortage of “all medical needs” and it “lacks competent staff”.
Ed Dabab hospital is very crowded at the moment with patients suffering from different diseases amid the silence of health authorities, a resident said.
Many patients are being transferred to Babanusa, Mujlad, and Al Fula, “in spite of poor roads connecting Ed Dabab to these other towns”.
Local residents are calling upon the state government to support the provision of services in health centres and hospitals before the “general condition worsens”.
