Citizens in Damazin town Sudan’s Blue Nile State report a severe shortage of cooking gas these days, saying shops selling cooking gas were closed, prompting them to use charcoal in the town.

Several citizens told Radio Tamazuj that the town is witnessing a crisis of cooking gas. They noted that  the cooking gas was being  monopolized by the state government at the market.

The citizens attributed the problem to the restrictions on the distribution of cooking gas, saying the quantities were inadequate.
