Several student protesters released in Khartoum

Sudan's National Security Service has released a number of detainees who were arrested at recentdemonstrations at the University of Khartoum.

Nabeel Adib, a lawyer for the dismissed students, says the students were arrested when security forces stormed his office in Khartoum.

He added that defense lawyers will meet with the management of the university to allow the students to resume their studies.

Security forces earlier this month stormed the office of prominent human rights lawyer Nabeel Adib and arrested a number of students who had been dismissed from the University of Khartoum for involving themselves in demonstrations.
