Local authorities in Wau town in South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal State announced they arrested seven suspects allegedly involved in night robberies in the town last week.
Brig. Gen. Salah Issa, head of the police patrol in Wau, said in a press statement Monday that they managed to arrest seven criminals in possession of stolen items.
He said the suspects were apprehended in an operation carried out by police forces at Baggari Jedid and Al Bar Al Sherqi residential areas.
The officer confirmed they will continue to pursue the criminals who have been destabilizing citizen’s security in the town.
