Sennar official dismisses doctors over recent protests

The Sennar State Health Minister has issued a decision dismissing intern doctors who organized recent protests at Sennar Hospital.

The official gave a 48-hour deadline to the protesters to evacuate dormitories and return property of the hospital.

Last week, intern doctors at Sennar Hospital went on strike over lack of medical services.

In a statement seen by Radio Tamazuj on Thurday, the striking doctors demanded the hospital’s administration to meet their demands.

They further said they requested the administration to pay their financial dues. The hospital administration declined to meet their demands, prompting the protest.
