The governor of Sudan’s Sennar state, Ahmed Abbas, announced that construction work on the tarmac road connecting Sinja and Dinder has started. The work is likely to be completed by the end of this year.
In a press statement, the governor explained that the project is being implemented in partnership with the Planning and Physical Utilities Ministry, and undertaken by Adah Company for Roads and Bridges. The construction costs will be SDG 45 million ($10.117.000.000).
Abbas outlined that tarmac road will facilitate transportation of essential commodities as well as other materials. He also said that other projects will be implemented by the Sennar state government to connect the state with Khartoum state.
