Seminar to develop 2016 budget in W Bahr al Ghazal

Western Bahr al Ghazal State Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan says the 2015-2016 budget should avoid problems that happened to previous budgets in the state.

He spoke at a seminar organized by the state government including the state legislative assembly and economic departments to discuss ways to improve from the 2015 budget at a time while South Sudan is witnessing economic crisis.

At the opening of the seminar, Rizig said the 2015 – 2016 budgets must started from the bottom to the top to avoid the problems that affected previous budgets.

He added the budget should be realistic. The top state official requested the State Ministry of Public Service to prepare a file that determines all employees and the need for recruiting more civil servants. Rizig reveal that the previous budgets in the state were either inflexible or imaginary.

Road construction

In another development, Raja County Commissioner James Benjamin told Radio Tamazuj that a road construction company contracted in the capital Juba has recently arrived in the area.

Benjamin further said the company would start to construct the Raja-Boro Medina road in the coming few days.

Citizens in Boro Medina area have been complaining about poor condition of roads to Raja town. They also deplored difficulties when transporting crops to the market.
