The security situation in Abu Karshola town in Sudan’s South Kordofan State has reportedly returned to normal after an attack on a police post killed one officer and wounded others.
Local residents told Radio Tamazuj that the security situation is calm and that the injured officers were taken to Khartoum for treatment.
Separately, a source told Radio Tamazuj that the local security authorities refused to distribute support packages to fasting families who return back recently.
Many families return back to Sandra, Al Jabelat, Fashoda, and other surrounding villages that were deserted due to fighting between the government forces and SPLA-North rebels.
