A security force comprise of 10 personnel including an army officer entered the premises of the Faculty of Education in Blue Nile University in Damazin town and beat students during a rally organized by students of the National Umma Party (NUP) on Tuesday.
A witness told Radio Tamazuj that the group attacked the students leaving five injured in critical condition.
He said three students have been taken to Damazin hospital, while the other two have been taken to the military hospital for treatment.
