General Yoasa Lujang Kamba told Radio Tamazuj that the move aims to protect civilians and control criminal activities.

He called on the public to cooperate with security operatives by providing information about any unusual activities in and around Yei town.

“The security situation is very calm. This is one of our duties to protect the citizens including their properties. We expect that next year will be a year of peace and stability in the whole Yei River State,” he said.
