Security agents in East Darfur’s Al Daein town released activist Ighebash Ahmed Torain Tuesday. The young activist was detained last week for allegedly arguing with Deputy Governor Mohamed El Hassan Berak.
Eyewitnesses told Radio Tamazuj that Torain had accused the government of failing to deliver services during a discussion the deputy governor was holding at the Youth’s Complex.
Ighebash has been instructed not to circulate rumors in town.
