Security agents in Ad Adaein town in East Darfur state on Friday detained activist Ighebash Ahmed Torain for allegedly arguing with Deputy Governor Mohamed El Hassan Berak.

Torain allegedly challenged the official during a discussion at Youth’s Complex earlier that day. An eyewitness told Radio Tamazuj the activist accused the government of failing to deliver services to citizens of the state.

He was arrested on charges of circulating rumors in the town.
