Secondary school teachers in Dilling Locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan State said the security situation is calm and stable during the first day of sitting for the Sudan Secondary School Examinations in the 16 centres in the locality.

Sudan’s examinations kicked off on Monday across the Sudanese states and all the centres abroad.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday several teachers from Dilling expressed their satisfaction with the examinations. They noted that the technical and administrative arrangements had already been made before the process began.

“The first day was calm and stable – there was no complaint from the students’ side,” a teacher said.

In the neighbouring Babanusa town in West Kordofan State, the observers said the first day was also calm compared to previous year.

The teachers commended the academic performance of the students on the first paper and appealed to them to exert more efforts so as to obtain honours.
