The ministry of education in Sudan’s Sennar state has decided to extend Eid Al-Adha holidays for school children in the state.
Mohammed Al-Tom Ibrahim, Director of Education in Sennar, said that the decision was a preventive measure to contain the outbreak of diarrhoea in the area. He pointed out that the holiday has been extended by another week for all schools in the state.
Meanwhile, Sennar’s ministry of health claimed that the situation returned to normal, saying diarrhoea cases were contained in the state.
But diarrhoea cases were recorded in different parts of Blue Nile state and dozens of dead cases were also reported in Al-Roseires and Damazin towns.
