The towns of Kosti and Rabak have experienced a sharp rise in gas prices due to its scarcity in distribution centres and shops.

Traders in Kosti told Radio Tamazuj that some distribution centres unknown to the government are selling gas cylinders at inflated prices. They have urged the government to establish a monitoring body to identify and regulate affordable prices for gas cylinders, and to bring those responsible for worsening the situation before the law.
