Six civilians in Al Tadamoun in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have been taken and recruited into the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), a local source said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, several native administration leaders said the SAF and some influential people are carrying out a recruitment campaign from each village in Al Tadamoun.
The traditional leaders expressed discontent about the activities of the army by luring local citizens in order to join the army to fight the rebels.
One of the native administration leaders who preferred anonymity said the SAF have been touring the area on Sunday to offer Land Cruiser vehicles and guns in exchange for joining the army.
The campaign started at Balula, Wakara and Zarafa villages in Tadamoun locality, according to the same source.
