S Sudanese refugees in Omdurman complain about lack of basic services

South Sudanese refugees at Fatasha refugee camp in the west of the Sudanese capital's twin city of Omdurman have complained about lack of basic services such as health and water in the area.

Malik Malek, a camp leader at the Fatasha camp, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that they are currently living in a dire humanitarian condition due to shortages of basic services.

He pointed out that they recently met with officials from South Sudan Embassy in Khartoum to discuss the matter, but they couldn’t provide any assistance.

The camp leader called on the Sudanese government to invite humanitarian organizations to provide to help the needy people as soon as possible.
